- The form for submitting written comments will close at 3:00 p.m., the day of the board meeting. Submitted comments will be emailed to the Board Members prior to the board meeting for review and will not be read out loud during the meeting.
- Public comments can be recognized during the board meeting by using the “raised hand” feature on Zoom.

1) Information for Virtual Board Meetings
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-29-20, which temporarily suspends provisions of the Brown Act relating to public meetings. As such, Folsom Cordova Unified School District Board members will be conducting open session Board meetings via Zoom video/teleconferencing. The Zoom link to observe the meeting will be posted above prior to the Zoom Board meeting.
2) Zoom Online Meeting Platform
Zoom is an online meeting platform that will be used by Folsom Cordova Unified School District Board of Education during the current State social distancing and shelter at home order. Those who wish to view the meeting will need an internet connection and device. Zoom is compatible with Windows and Apple computers, along with iPhones, iPads, Chromebooks and Android devices. The device must have working speakers to hear the meeting.
- Please note: If Zoom is not currently installed on your computer or device, Zoom will ask to download a small app to the computer or device. Please accept the install to continue to the Zoom meeting. Zoom will only need to install the app the first time a computer or device is used with Zoom. Mobile device users can install the Zoom app prior to a meeting by visiting their app store and downloading the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app.
3) Listening to a Zoom Meeting by Phone Only
You can also join a Zoom meeting via teleconferencing/audio conferencing using a cell phone or traditional landline phone. The Zoom phone number and ID number will be posted above prior to the Zoom Board meeting.
Dialing in to a Meeting Using a Cell Phone or Traditional Landline
Once you have dialed the Zoom phone number, you will be prompted to enter the meeting ID number, followed by the pound (#) button. As a participant, push the # button again, at which time you will enter the waiting room. The host will bring you into the meeting before the meeting starts. Reminder- please mute you phone when entering the meeting.

- *6 - Toggle mute/unmute
- *9 – “Raise hand” to provide public comment

4) Public Comments
Please complete and submit your electronic public comments through the Google Speaker’s Card Form linked above.
- The form for submitting written comments will close at 3:00 p.m., the day of the board meeting. Submitted comments will be emailed to the Board Members prior to the board meeting for review and will not be read out loud during the meeting.
- Public comments can be recognized during the board meeting by using the “raised hand” feature on Zoom.
Public comments during the board meeting will be limited to a maximum of two (2) or three (3) minutes. Time limitations are at the discretion of the President of the Board of Trustees.
